Maria Louisa Salsa Voted #1 by Focus Group
A Focus Group of 15 people volunteered to participate in a “Blind Taste Test” comprised of 5 different brands of “Fresh Salsas” of medium heat. After all the ratings were tabulated Maria Louisa Salsa came in as the #1 overall Salsa brand. None of the participants knew Marie and none of them had ever tasted or seen the Maria Louisa Salsa product before. Marie was delighted that people chose her salsa product over her competitors.
Here’s how the “Test” was conducted: The products were generically labeled “1-5” and their identity was kept secret until after the “Taste Test”. The products containers were then uncovered as participants were required to rate the products packaging. Each product was rated on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. Participants rated the products based upon taste, appearance of the salsa, texture, heat and packaging.
